Today, I'm in a really good mood. The sun is opening up, and everything's becoming more
bright and sunny lately... I've got a lot to be happy about lately. I've got friends who like
me and depend on me, I've got a nice space to call my own, a good job, and I've been getting
more in shape from walking to said job every day. I think it's important to be grateful for
the things you have while you have them, and not take them for granted. It's a beautiful day
outside, and I can smell freshly cut grass.
The second location of my job recently closed, so they moved a lot of stock-- and people-- from
the second location to the one I'm at, which means there's less hours for me and waaaay more
stuff in the store. We've organized it pretty well, but it's still a bit of a mess in the back.
It's been fun putting everything on new displays, though. Everything's so cute that it's not
a problem lugging stuff around; plus it makes me stronger, so I don't mind.
I like to do paintings while on the job, and my boss told me that I can actually sell
them at the front of the store, and I'd get all the money from a sale! It's very exciting,
though none of the actual paintings have sold yet...
Um, oops, like five hours passed and I forgot to continue writing. I'm painting right now and
it's dark out... I really like painting with Poscas, so I've decided that I'm going to offer
it as a service on my VGen and send people the physical canvases when they're complete. That
shouldn't be too complicated, right? I can just buy the envelopes needed for it from the
dollar store, and I guess I'll need a way to print shipping labels, I think...?
Ehhh, I just Googled it, and the whole setup should cost me around $120... that's not that
bad, considering. I'm gonna do it!! I'm excited, this should be fun. Maybe I'll also
add extra little goodies, like a tiny little sketch or something... I'm really looking forward
to being able to do it! I just have to work through my current backlog first... I can't
keep people waiting while taking on MORE commission work!
I spent about two days earlier this week pushing furniture around in my room and it looks
great! I decided to move my old desk back into my room so I can slot it up nicely against
my new desk, as I realized my new desk is great but it doesn't really give a lot of extra
space for physical stuff, like drawing in my sketchbook or building Gunpla. Having a whole
other space for that has been a huge game changer these past couple of days, and it looks
SUPER COOL as a result. Check it out:
Awesome, right?
It's pretty late, and I have to get up early, so I'm going to post this and head to bed. I
have to get up early to help my dad with some stuff, so I can't stay up super late again!
That's not right!!
Let's work hard this week, and the next! Things are gonna be okay.
SONG OF THE DAY
Romantic Love (Instrumental) - Parappa the Rapper 2
"How *not* to lose? It is impossible not to. The world is balanced on the edge of a knife. It's a game of frayed nerves. You're pushed on by numbers and punitive measures: pain, rejection, and unpaid bills. You can either play or you can crawl under a boat and waste away -- turn into salt or a flock of seagulls. Your enemies would *love* that. Or you can fight. The only way to load the dice is to keep on fighting."
- THOUGHT COMPLETED: THE PRECARIOUS WORLD (DISCO ELYSIUM)
